Many buyers prefer Leonard Joel because we present an ever changing range of goods at prices which are not inflated by retail margins. Leonard Joel is a true auction house. We do not trade or sell on our own behalf, so you can be sure that auctions are a fair representation of public bidding.

What To Do

Buying at auction is a simple process.

• View - View items in person, by catalogue, or on our website. Inspect the items thoroughly, our staff are on hand to give you further information or answer any questions you may have.
• Viewing for weekly sale from 9.00am - 8.00pm every Wednesday prior to Thursday auction
  
  
• Register - Buyers need to register on the day for our weekly sales. For special sales you can register on viewing days, the day of the sale or alternatively on our website.
  
  
• Bid - Decide how much you are willing to pay including the buyer's premium. Buyer's premium is 17.6% on the first $5,000 and 11% on the balance.
  
  SEASONAL AUCTIONS
  A flat 20% buyers premium (incl GST) is applicable for all seasonal auctions
  
  
• Payment - Payment is required within three (3) working days and can be made by cash, cheque or credit card (Bankcard, MasterCard, Visa).
  
  
• Collecting Purchases - Once a paid receipt has been presented to a staff member goods can be removed. If you need a carrier, see our recommended carriers list.
